Get to know us!
We treat every client and patient like they were a part of our family. Other clinics and hospitals may offer similar services, but our services come with a personal touch.
We believe in individualized pet care that takes your personal wishes and situation into consideration. We always give you options and the opportunity to make choices.
Dr. Lisa McCarthy, DVM, MBA
Dr. McCarthy obtained her veterinary degree from Texas A&M University in 1989, and an MBA from Colorado State University in 2005. She has practiced in varied types of hospitals including emergency, specialty and shelter environments. She enjoys all aspects of practice, but surgery and dentistry are her favorite.
Dr. McCarthy loves volunteer work that benefits animals and is the founder and executive director of Vet Treks Foundation, a 501©3 that does work to increase veterinary capacity in developing countries, currently Kenya.
She loves adventure travel, jogging, yoga, baseball and enjoying all of the wonders available in Colorado’s high country, such as snowshoeing and hiking “14’ers” with her dogs Poppy and Talulah.
Dr. Caitlin Hunter, DVM
Dr. Hunter is originally from Chester County, PA. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School with the intention of working on horses. She completed a year-long internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Saratoga Springs, NY. During that year, she realized that even though she enjoyed working on performance horses, she preferred having patients that are loved pets rather than investments, so she returned to working on small animals.
When she is not working, Dr. Hunter enjoys riding her horse (Bubbles), hiking, and yoga. She and her boyfriend live with their Rottweiler (Max), and two cats (Clarissa and Peaches).

Connie comes to us a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager with over 20 years in her veterinary career. She enjoys all aspects of her position and the unique challenges it brings every day. Gina is a born and raised Colorado native. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography from the University of Colorado Denver and is currently pursuing an Associate’s of Applied Science degree and certification as a Veterinary Technician. Lucy is currently an undergrad at CSU studying Zoology. After graduating she plans to continue her education in the veterinary field. She is passionate about working with animals and always does her absolute best to help ensure each animal is happy and healthy.
